New Patients at DuPage Pain Management, Ltd.

Your initial appointment with us will be dedicated to getting to know you. Assuming you have completed your online paperwork through our patient portal, you will be asked to fill out one page of information regarding your family health history. Before all else, you will have your vitals taken. You will then meet with Dr. Mersinger for a non-invasive physical examination. At this time, he will evaluate your orthopedic and neurological health. X-rays will be taken if necessary.

Once your examination is done, Dr. Mersinger will discuss with you your health history and current concerns. Though he will have reviewed your submitted documents beforehand, he is glad to hear from you and clarify any questions he might have about your condition. Your appointment will last no longer than 30 minutes from start to finish. Be sure to bring any previous imaging (X-rays, MRIs, etc.) with you to this visit.

Unlike your first appointment, your second visit with us will focus on your report of findings. At this time, Dr. Mersinger will go over the results of your examination and X-rays. He will explain to you what is wrong, how it should be corrected, and cost of care. This appointment will also be close to 30 minutes in duration.

Depending on your individual needs, all ongoing visits will last anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour. They will include a combination of physical therapy, electric stimulation, chiropractic care, and any other suggested therapies.
